HISTORY

Carma first opened for business in 1990 dyeing and selling bridal shoes from the "laundry room" of her house. The business quickly gained momentum and Celebration Shoes opened on King Street West, Toronto, in 1992, moving to its current Yorkville location in 1999.

Celebration Shoes is now firmly established as Canada's leading bridal shoe retailer.

We are constantly searching for new, innovative and talented European designers, bringing their collections back to our clients and providing them with the finest pair of shoes for their wedding or special occasion event.

Hand-dyeing is Celebration's specialty and once the wedding day is over, we can transform any bridal shoe into a fabulous piece of art. With custom dyeing, the addition of hand-made flowers and ribbons, crystals, pearls or vintage braid and lace, Celebration will create a pair of shoes that are truly unique, reflecting the personality of the wearer.

Accessories are an important part of our business with dolly bags, ring pillows, garters and other bridal accessories hand-made on the premises.

Custom jewellery, hair accessories, hats and fascinators are the final touch for the bride and her bridal party, or to simply complete a special occasion ensemble. We work closely with our designers to ensure our clients are thrilled with the end results and that they will continue to wear these pieces long after their special day is over.

Over the years we have supplied the Stratford and Shaw Festivals with footwear and our shoes have been worn in such shows as "Phantom of the Opera" and Ragtime". Celebration's shoes are frequently shown on the television and written up in national newspapers.
